Poker is a game that requires a great deal of observation and concentration. This ability allows players to recognize tells, changes in attitude, and body language that can give them key insights into their opponents’ hands.<\/p>\n
In order to play Poker, there are certain rules and procedures that must be followed. These include:<\/p>\n
Before the cards are dealt, one or more players are required to make forced bets called “blinds.” They may be a small blind and a big blind, which can be anywhere from one to five chips in value.<\/p>\n
During each betting interval, players have the opportunity to add to the pot by either calling the initial bet or raising it. If a player raises, they must put in more chips than any other player before them in the ring.<\/p>\n
Before each round of betting, the dealer shuffles the deck and deals the cards to each player in turn. The dealer then collects all the bets from all the players in a single central pot.<\/p>\n
Each round of betting begins when a player to the left of the dealer puts an initial contribution, called an “ante,” into the pot. The other players to the left of the dealer must then either call, raise, or drop (“fold”) their bet.<\/p>\n
